Planning and Zoning meet the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.

“Planning and zoning commissioners are required to deal with a broad array of issues. The day to- day business of the commission involves making recommendations and decisions on land use applications.  Commissioners must also deal with the long-term issues of planning for the future growth and development of the community.

The growth and development of our community is guided by the planning and land use policies of city and county governments. Under the Local Land Use Planning Act, every city and county is required to adopt a comprehensive plan, a zoning ordinance, a subdivision ordinance and area of city impact ordinance. These policies are the most important tools for local growth management, allowing officials to direct future development and protect the unique features of their community.”    —  Association of Idaho Cities
